9am at Riverside Arts Market
715 Riverside Avenue
Jacksonville, FL 32204
On Saturday, August 23, JumpingFish, a Florida waterway advocacy group, will hold its second Up the River Downtown distance swim and paddle. Swimmers, kayakers, stand-up paddleboarders and more will take the plunge from the campus of Jacksonville University to navigate ten kilometers up the St. Johns River to the Riverside Arts Market. The event supports JumpingFish’s primary mission of advocating for our waterways through Athletics, Recreation & Tourism.
RAM Ride Jacksonville will join in the fun from dry land, providing a rolling escort for the aquatic participants along the North Bank Riverwalk from its furthest point near the Jacksonville Shipyards. Bring your friends and family, noisemakers of all kinds, and bicycles, unicycles, and kid trailers to meet under the Fuller Warren Bridge for a 9am departure for the bike ride from the Riverside Arts Market to the Shipyards. This will be the RAM Ride’s 158th installment! Let’s make it a memorable one.
