About Jessica Green Foundation, Inc.:
The Jessica Green Foundation was founded in December of 2008 as a legacy in memory of Jessica Green, a woman diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome and high functioning autism. Jessica never allowed her autism to stand in the way of reaching her goals, all the while helping others as well. She passed away in 2007, leaving us with a message: a message that inspired us to be there for others also living with autism.
Jessica was enamored with athletics, playing Varsity Fast Pitch Softball and bowled at the Jax Blast Youth Bowling League. Most of all, she loved cycling, riding around for hours, beckoning the neighborhood kids to “ride with me” – Thus the birth of our signature fundraiser, a cycling event called Ride With Me for Autism.
The Jessica Green Foundation is here to improve the lives of those with autism by providing the tools, services and support that they need. Some of these supports and services are Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, sensory integration, social skills training, vocational skills training, as well as intermediate and long-term rehabilitation. The families need comfort in knowing that their children will be taken care of when they are no longer able.
